Abel Clemmens (also spelled Clemmons, Clemans, or Clemens) was an American who killed his wife and eight children in Clarksburg, Virginia, United States on November 10, 1805, before fleeing into the woods. After a few days he surrendered himself to the authorities and confessed to the crime. In court plead not guilty, but was sentenced to death and executed in June 1806.
