On March 16, 1957 an Indian killed at least six people and wounded twelve others when firing into a crowd of Rajputs during the Holi festival in Bikaner, India. The man then escaped on a camel, but later surrendered to police.[1][2][3]

According to other reports 16 people were killed in the incident.[4][5][6]
