On October 23, 1911 a woman surnamed Johnson killed her six children and herself when setting fire to her home in Kidder County, North Dakota, about eight miles northeast of Braddock, United States. Mrs. Johnson apparently barricaded the doors and windows while her husband Axel was working in the fields, then sprayed kerosene around the house and ignited it. The family, who originated from Scandianvia, had lived in the area for several years.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
