Cirilo Loreto Carpin was a Filipino who killed three people and wounded 14 others with a knife in Catbalogan City, Philippines during the night of August 25, 1960.

The 45-year-old first stabbed a sleeping passenger aboard an inter-island ship that was about to dock in the city, and then jumped off the boat to attack people who had gathered on the pier for a holiday celebration. Carpin stabbed 16 of them, two fatally, before he was shot in the leg by policemen and arrested.[1][2]
