Ernst Julius Bienert was a German factory guard who gassed his wife and six children in Meißen, German Reich on December 14, 1903. He also tried to kill himself, but survived. Bienert, who had acted on the insistence of his terminally ill wife, was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison for the killing of his six children.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
