During the night of October 12, 1974 a Thai killed two people and wounded ten others with a hand grenade at a nightclub in Hat Yai District, Thailand. The man afterwards fled, but was arrested by police and confessed to the crime, stating that he threw the grenade into the club with the intent to kill some waiters who had insulted him. Those killed were the club's owner, Suchin Tangwongsiri, and one of the guests.
