Mohammed Yaqub was a Pakistani who killed 10 people in Hussain Kot, a village in Poonch district, Pakistan on June 29, 1997.

Enraged by the fact that his nephew Yaseem had chopped down a tree Yaqub, an ex-serviceman, armed himself with an automatic rifle and first killed Yaseem, before opening fire on other family members and bystanders. Soon thereafter he surrendered to police and was arrested.[1][2][3]
