On February 4, 1967 a man killed five people and wounded at least five others in Tinaguis, a village in Camarines Sur, Philippines.

That night, at about 11 p.m., the man entered several houses and attacked their sleeping occupants with a shotgun and an 18-inch long machete, killing amongst others an 85-year-old woman, and two 2-year-old children. He also set fire to five houses, shot at people trying to stop him, and then escaped, but was arrested the following day after an extensive manhunt through several villages.[1][2]
